Synopsis
It was the Cataclysmic Gerosha (Earth-G7.0) timeline (and the subsequent branch timeline of this pack). The year was 2019. The Feud of Three Worlds had waged for centuries, and the bill came due. With every major US presidential candidate in 2016 having been assassinated, the United States crumbled rapidly. The Phaelite Society of Earth, now folded into the Security-Centric Alliance Lending and Learning Of Phaelite Extraterrestrials ("SCALLOP" for short) was now tasked with the perpetual monitoring of every Phaelite Experiment First-Generation ("Phex-1") or Phaelite Experiments' Offspring ("Phexo") that their forebears had created or made possible. Civil rights for anyone were now constantly debated, with many of those seizing power holding the idea of human equality, especially under God, in dire contempt.
The Society of the Icy Finger stood poised to hold most of Earth hostage. The Phaletori did dirty work behind the scenes, while plotting its role in the new Triumvirate to stage war and genocide in a bid for the eventual conquest of the planet Phaeleel. Meanwhile, the Hebbleskin Gang had taken much of the western United States hostage, declaring it "Netheel," after the Meethlite homeworld of Metheel.
To make matters worse: their villainy was expanding into China, threatening further global destabilization. To resist Hebbleskin influence, China seized control of Oregon, California, and Washington, producing what came to be known as "Chimerica." But they somehow knew this wouldn't be enough. Task Force Black Rat needed additional cyberwarfare assets to aid China in its defense. This oddball paring operating as a sort of paramilitary squad had little idea they were about to gain the infamous Sniperbadger as an ally. After the death of her partner Phil Couric, and her being stranded in Hong Kong with nothing but her vendetta against the Hebbleskins to sustain her, she aided them like someone who had nothing left to lose!
Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas were holdout states for what was left of the original USA, now a body dubbed "Toklisana." It became a desperate "promised land" of sorts to survivors - not of paradise, but of a chance to stand ground and resist erasure. Yet, it was one riddled with predators and corruption; with tyrants and opportunists.
And then there was the northeastern United States. The bloodthirsty, sexually-depraved, sadistic tyrant Halal Affadidah, head of a terror band that was an offshoot of ISIS, seized control of this portion of the country with aid from the Hebbleskins. He dubbed the occupied region "Ameristan," and made genocide his top priority. He often would take troops of his that underperformed, and inject them with krokodil. They either get their kill counts up, and get treatment; or they rot away. As such, Affadidah's "zombie" parties became an absolute menace.
A force field structure dubbed "the Wall," inspired by the original Gerosha Dome, further complicated matters. All attempts by anyone to escape from Affadidah's prison state were perilous. Affadidah outlawed marriage for "kafirs," making all families with children that weren't both ethnically Arab and his specific sect of Islam illegal to exist by default. Affadidah implemented the Hebbleskin doctrine of Decolarent eam, eviscerate eum: "Off with her head, out with his guts." Gendered method mass executions in death camps.
Anticipating this on the horizon, Japanese migrant Imaki Izuki began planning in advance. Along with the ministers Rev. Wilbur Brocklyn and Rev. Tyler Kilmington, he'd created a new branch of the Sodality Church, one dedicated to finding survivors of Affadidah's rampage and funneling them into a mass campaign to breach the Wall and escape to Texas as refugees. The Exodus Agenda had two chapters: the Indiana and Idaho Chapters.
While Zize "Plum Bixie" Choi rose to prominence defending the Idaho Chapter, the Indiana Chapter gathered up whatever survivors it could from the ruins of war, famine, and plague. Candi "Ciem" Flippo, her days in Madison Juvenile now behind her, had to trust in her secret marriage to Donte "Emeraldon" McArthur to help her move on from the pain of seeing her every previous effort to build a stable family be mercilessly destroyed. Donte, likewise, wrestled with the guilt of everyone he was unable to save. As city after city fell, the two put their Ciem and Emeraldon identities in storage. They'd need those secret identities in Texas. They were meaningless in the ruins of Indiana.
Worse: Project: Earwig had been confiscated by SCALLOP. The young, troubled activist and former librarian Dolly Weiss-Malestrom would have to prove her marriage to inventor Jeraime Malestrom to claim her right under Jeraime's stated will to access her armor. From a corrupt Director Darius Philippine that was determined to keep her from ever getting that armor back! Worse: the related Project: Musaran had been stolen by the Hebbleskins. Jeraime himself had been abducted by them. They intended to use their backvisor mind control tech to trap Jeraime inside his own invention, becoming the assassin cyborg they always wanted!
Tortured and mutated into a chicken monster that could turn avian life into a hive mind, Jennifer Clankton now terrorized the farmlands of the Midwest as "Jawknee." Her avian hive mind posed a threat to anyone that got close to her!
Meanwhile, things were no safer in Texas. The Apache young couple of Jack "Jackrabbit" Mercreek and Miranda Kanla had their relationship and student lives at the University of Houston disrupted by none other than Don "the Psycho" Mendoza - the same Mendoza that haunted Candi's memories of middle school, when her centipede powers first manifested! Jack was attempting to initiate the Mercreek Estate, a division of what was to become the Sodality of Gerosha league of heroes to fight back against the Triumvirate. But without access to Team Gray, Team Extirpon, or the Exodus Agenda's members, Jack found himself with few allies. Brocklyn was under surviellance, and had to be careful. Miranda was abducted by Mendoza, and Jack feared the worst. Mendoza began a deadly game of cat and mouse with Jack.
Also helping Jack was the Swappernetter Society courier Celia Winehart, drifting through life after her parents vanished, and constantly at risk of being exploited by corrupt Houston police. She saw in the Sodality a chance for spiritual rebirth, but wrestled with believing she deserved a second chance after the system that betrayed her left her doubting her worth. Jack refuses to give up on her, as Brocklyn's church had previously turned him and Miranda around. Yet, he knows that their war against Mendoza, and preparation for a war the Hebbleskins seek to bring, puts everyone at risk.
Celia began dating Jack's other friend from Apacheland, Monty Raquin. Yet, Mendoza killed Monty, leaving her feeling once again alone in an increasingly hostile world.
The fledling Sodality knows that every rescue mission, every investigation, every move, must be calculated and carried out with care. One false move could mean imprisonment - or heads in baskets - before a syndicate of supernaturally-motivated irrational enemies; who were hellbent and hellbound in their obsession with causing the Sodality's complete annihilation!
Gameplay
Play as any of the characters in this pack - or don't. Installing them into a save file lets the good ones fight for your Sims' survival, and the bad ones plot your Sims' demise. Either way, your save file will now be themed after the first season of Sodality, the fifth volume of The Gerosha Chronicles ™. Sodality was first envisioned as a series pitch back in November of 2012, as a way to envision what the potential consequences of what a second Obama victory could be for America, but then peppered with fantasy elements carried over from previous incarnations of Gerosha mythos.
Sodality in its current form portrays a slight alternate history, that all-the-same provides commentary on the 2020s - what led to them being as they are, and what they may lead to. Take heed of the lessons; lest reality begin to imitate the art contained in this pack!
Will you deliver the Exodus Agenda to Texas safely, or let Affadidah and Arfaas' dark forces overrrun them? Will you make Task Force Black Rat stronger? How well does Wilbur's church stand to grow, while living in a hostile Texas environment? Can Jack rescue Miranda from Don the Psycho before time runs out? Will Celia ever find peace? Can Plum Bixie protect the Idaho Chapter of the Exodus Agenda from genocidal forces without losing herself to Inner Fox completely?
Their fates are now in the player's hands!

Trivia
- Zize's custom parts requirements for her bow and arrow exist largely due to this pack having been made without the Adventure Awaits expansion pack.
- Zize Choi is inspired by Yezhi "Sunny Yuan" Linze, who was a call center worker in Xian, China in 2017.
- Zize's origin story and war on the Hebbleskins took heavy inspiration from Far Cry 5.
- Zize's eventual descent into the madness of Inner Fox took heavy inspiration from Deputy Rook's descent into the Judge in Far Cry New Dawn.
- The pink flower blooms around Imaki's house are a reference to Far Cry New Dawn.
- Zize's outfit pre-Inner Fox, consisting of the purple tank top and black tactical pants, was chosen because that was her default outfit when she was first prototyped in Far Cry 5 for PlayStation 4 in 2018.
- Candi's red hair dye is a nod to that of her mother, Shalia Flippo, who also did it as a symbol of rebellion against the Hebbleskins.
- The G7.0 and G7.2.0 versions of Donte referenced in this pack are much shorter than his previous incarnations in Earths G3.1-G6.
- Instigation changed Phil Couric's origin story and demise from previous Gerosha iterations, which had it that he drowned, rather than was assassinated via road assault.
- Black Rat, Stung Hornet, Tin Dragon, and Teal Hog began in Earth-G3.1 as minor antivillains. Earth-G7 mythos completely reimagined them to be more heroic, while acknowledging that their government used them for highly amoral purposes before they became a team.
- Celia was the original Taterbug in Earth-G5. Earth-G7 greater mythos retconned this to make her the heir of the mantle after Meagan Amez could no longer carry it.
- Jack Mercreek began in Earth-G6 mythos as a rival romantic lead for Candi, tempting her to give up on searching for Donte. This was all but entirely retconned out beginning with Earth-G7 mythos.
- Halal Affadidah's character design and personality are intended in their current form as parody homages to Ben Kingsley's take on Trevor Slattery, the (false) Mandarin from Iron Man 3.
- Jawknee gets her name entirely from a 1990s joke about naming a hen "Jen," and what a chicken trying to call her name might sound like. The "chicken-English" logic of phonetics, in turn, derives its logic from Philip Maurice Hayes' voice acting as Scratch for Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
- Jawknee's origin story involving her slow transformation into a chicken was inspired by the 2006-era McDonald's ad "Turn into a Chicken."
- Celia Winehart is named after the character Celia Bradley, from Disney's The Apple Dumpling Gang.
- Donte's "Emeraldon" alias was originally "Captain Emerald" in early drafts.
- Wilbur Brocklyn is named after Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. However, his appearance is inspired by Morgan Freeman.
- The MSS assigned the codenames to Task Force Black Rat members that they assigned because they didn't think much of the team in the beginning. Their mantles began as insults. "Black Rat" roughly meaning "bildge rat." "Stung Hornet" meaning "a thing which will die ironically." Tin Dragon being "like a paper tiger, but slightly more effective." Teal Hog meaning "not cool enough to be made of jade." "Plum Bixie" was essentially a bixie that liked plums too much, but was also a jab at Zize's favorite color being purple.
- Inner Fox manifesting as Zize's violent and angry impulses taking on a split personality references the fact that in spite her fondness for the mythical bixie creature, Kai Yun forced her into life as a honey trap at an early age. He used the huli jing as a symbol for her, to mock her bixie fascination, telling Zize that she'd always be his "little fox" - a grave insult in some parts of China. Therefore, she wore a fox oni mask when hunting Yun down years later, while on a warpath of vengeance similar to Furiosa vs. Dementus in Furiosa: A Mad Max Story.
- Patrick is the son of Jissika Sundue-Dentz and Danny Loffin. He is the bridge connecting Danny to both Candi and Jissika. Danny is also the only man in Gerosha mythos to have slept with both Candi and Jissika.
- Marissa Steffan was named as such by her mother, Tanya Woven-Steffan, as an homage to Candi's grandmother: Marissa Hood.
- Entering into a complicated relationship with a boy and then trying to protect him from a crime ring after both were drugged and woke up in each other's arms with no memory but endless regret is a phenomenon shared by both Jissika Sundue-Dentz (with Danny Loffin) and Marge Ramirez (with Diego Horno). In both cases, the woman failed to keep the man alive after their initial adventure together. However, Jissika failed because Danny was loyal to Candi, and walked into danger to reunite with Candi. In Marge's case, it was because she underestimated how petty and vindictive Emilio's cartel would be. Their outcomes differ as well in that Jissika, after the initial evening, took pains not to intentionally do anything inappropriate with Danny, yet still got pregnant. Marge, however, tried to live with Diego with the hopes of officially marrying him, to salvage their traumatic circumstances. In that time, she tried to get pregnant, but failed. Jissika kept her child, even though she feared it would ruin her chances of a future with Rogan. When Rogan learned of the circumstances, however, he forgave Jissika, and they were happily married not too long afterward. Marge mourned the marriage she never got to legalize, and the child she never got to conceive.
- Rogan Dentz's personality is inspired by that of Hurk Drubman Jr. from the Far Cry franchise.
- Marina's son, Andy Baret, is named after Andy the Bomb from Red vs. Blue: The Blood Gulch Chronicles.
- Brittany Lohmeyer's appearance is modeled after that of Brianna Guerra from Netflix's Girls Incarcerated.
- Dolly Malestrom is named after Gunnar Maelstrom from Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? and Dolly the Cloned Sheep.
