New Ciem: Inferno tie-in books available for download

Click on the above images to visit the download page for each book.

The compendia for Ciem: Inferno tie-in books about the inmates and staff of the Madison Juvenile Center in 2015 in Earth-G7 have now been remade. These guide books aid in understanding more about Candi's world to those who didn't ever live in Indiana in that time period. Many aesthetics and even some characters are loosely inspired by the Netflix series Girls Incarcerated.

While originally made with The Sims 4, these guide books have been completely remade in 2023, using Wonder AI by Codeway Dijital.

Titles pushed to next year

In case of the worst

Long-term contigency plannning at Dozerfleet has led to a decision that once the machinomics are complete, it may be a good idea to start utilizing Linux Mint more, and relying less on variations of Windows.

Dozerfleet was founded in Michigan; but has since relocated to Florida. However, Florida is logistically vulnerable. In the event of a doomsday scenario, the state could become uninhabitable, such as if a nuclear attack hit the state.

In case of the worst, North Carolina seems like the most feasible place to escape to.

  • It has land high enough from sea level to provide everything necessary for someone seeking shelter from rogue governments and Chinese nukes hitting from the Caribbean.
  • The climate is reasonable.
  • Off-the-grid living is not beyond the realm of possibility.

However, that will come with the need for some changes when it comes to equipment employed:

  • Back-up power items would be a must.
    • Casual access to AC wall electricity would be a luxury, not something to take for granted.
  • The TV set currently employed as "DozerfleetTV" would double as a PC monitor.
    • The current main PC monitor would be either sold or abandoned in the event of an on-foot migration. There'd be no practical way to carry it.
    • Failing the ability to safely procure storage for the TV, a smaller screen unit would have to be acquired.
    • This much smaller screen would be the new monitor.
  • Once phased out as a necessity, the current Dell Inspiron 3650 operating as Dozerfleet Main would be sold / recycled / abandoned.
  • A laptop to be the new Dozerfleet Portable, preferably a gamer-grade unit Mac that can dual-boot with Linux Mint, would be preferred.
    • The Macbook would be EMP-shielded, if possible.
    • MacOS would only be used to run Origin and Origin games, or to run Affinity Publisher, Affinity Designer, or any other software that cannot be replaced with FOSS.
    • Mint and FOSS would be used to handle every single other scenario.
  • At some point, the Surface Go 2 operating as Dozerfleet Mega Portable would be phased out.
  • The Kindle operating as Dozerfleet Ultra Portable will remain until it physically dies. It is unknown if a replacement Kindle will be available when that day comes. The whole designation may end up being retired.
  • The Dozerfleet Database remaining open will be the top online priority of Dozerfleet operations; updating the blogs will be secondary.
    • Otherwise, online activity would be minimal, outside of use of Google Maps.
    • Dozerfleet Mobile, currently operating from a Google Pixel 4A 5G, would continue until that unit goes defunct. If not immediately replaceable, Motorola walkie-talkies would be a prime means of communication with the few connections that would remain.
    • Facebook, Instagram, and DeviantArt may see weeks or even months go by without updates.

Where this has led for 2022

Many projects that were initially pursued highly ambitiously in 2022 found themselves later pushed back, due to scheduling conflicts with prepping. The need to explore possibilities and contingencies, and gather the necessary gear to be able to stage a migration in the future if it becomes necessary, has led to experimentation with and learning of new systems. Learning the basics of modern macOS setups, as well as learning Linux Mint basics, has also meant learning how to use Virtual Box, and the limitations of a virtual machine environment.

This has also led to Dozerfleet Mega Portable abandoning Windows 11 in favor of Mint. The Dozerfleet founder's mother even got on the bandwagon. Her old laptop, having only 4GB of RAM installed, was too old to run Windows 10 efficiently. It found new life with a new battery, plus an installation of Mint.

All of this, combined with hernia surgery in April, caused major setbacks to Dozerfleet projects. Some will still get made in 2022. Others have been rescheduled for 2023 projected release dates.

Changes to productions, based on recent events

While they will still be free releases, and under the Dozerfleet Comics banner, the following works are undergoing some format changes:

  • Ciem / Anarteq: Kahoopiliana
  • Sniperbadger: Fall of the Critter Resistance
  • Path of the Ming-Cho
  • Sorbet

Instead of being full-blown machinomics, these works are being downgraded to illustrated short stories. The Sims 4 will still be used on them; but they will have fewer screenshots in them. Also, instead of the narration/dialog duality, they will use quotes and other adverbs to describe dialog in a more traditional novel narrative formatting.

These changes are being made for two reasons: 1) to hurry up their production process and 2) to hasten an end to the era of reliance on The Sims 4. Character Creator 3, MakeHuman, and other venues for character wiki art are being pursued. This move itself is happening for two different reasons: 1) objection to EA's continued sociopathic entertaining of and pandering to the demonic delusions of the mentally ill and 2) the fact that their aforementioned pandering is only hastening making the game unplayable on the station that, at the time of this writing, operates as Dozerfleet Main.

Because production is already so far along, the following machinomics will continue in their current format:

  • Pursuit of a reformat of Lo-Mun's Cooking Adventure (for re-release of the original, though not a proper remake)
  • Ciem 2007 (a reformatted, slightly revised re-release, not a remake)
  • Blood Over Water
  • Volkonir 2008
  • Corando's Don't Lose Hope (remake)

The above-mentioned are too far along in development to back out. However, Kahoopiliana was initially intended to be a short story with no illustrations. Going from that to a full-blown machinomic to a short story with limited illustrations would be no major feat. Changing the nature of Sniperbadger, Path of the Ming-Cho, and Sorbet as stories means they can be written faster. The goal is to finish the Corando remake this year, as well as finish Volkonir 2008 and Blood Over Water. Everything else, production-wise, can then be made next year. Re-releases can be the focus of the remainder of 2022.

In addition to these changes for Dozerfleet Comics / Literature, Dozerfleet Labs is pursuing the means to either get a Big Sur-running Mac laptop for Mac-end product development and environment exploration, or to get a virtual machine to accomplish this feat without having to spend money. A successful Linux virtual machine has already been tested, though app development for Linux to make Dozerfleet apps in that environment structure remains an elusive pursuit.

Meanwhile, The Sims 4 (and EA in general) is falling out of favor at Dozerfleet. Changes that will make the game even slower are being implemented, all because of the spiritually depraved and their obsession with subjective pronouns. The game is now more obsessed with appeasing the feelz of those with feculent genitals, than they are with efficiency and with good storytelling. Pandering to this new base has left many in the old base not only out in the cold; but afraid to even speak up about it, as the gay mafia will tolerate no criticism or backlash whatsoever against anything they make corporations do!

With machinomics done, Sims 4 will be used on an as-needed basis for character wiki art, until it is no longer needed for that purpose, successfully superceded by another program that is capable of doing better. MakeHuman...has a ways to go yet.

After this, the novel releases upcoming will seek to do away with the era of The Sims as much as possible. The goal will no longer be to try to impress the world of Sims storytellers with the wonderful world of storytelling possibilities. The community's mediocrity with storytelling is now self-sustaining, and resists correction at all times. If Blood Over Water and Volkonir 2008 cannot win over anyone, then it is doubtful any other Dozerfleet works released in machinomic format will do so either.

Instead, the goal will shift to getting Dozerfleet's message, and works, released as quickly as possible into the world, to empty out the queue and work on publicity.

Can 2005 be redeemed entirely?

With Star Flops having been successfully remade, there are many lingering questions regarding how much else of the 2005 and 2006 era are even capable of being brought back. Moreso: if they're even worthwhile to bring back! Corando's "Don't Lose Hope" is currently under investigation for a drastic remake, one that will rewrite the lyrics to be less clunky, and involve new background story characters. The setting might be moved to India, to further demonstrate that the song wishes to invoke a message that is universal - a far cry from the rather small-minded love song it was originally decked up to be.

After that, there's Lo-Mun's Cooking Adventure. This tale will also require a dramatic rewrite. Instead of its bland setup, it could go for a parody of Hell's Kitchen, Master Chef, or some other modern cooking contest show. With more recipes available in Sims 4, a decent rewrite could be possible.

With a Cataclysmic Gerosha rewrite pending for The Battle for Gerosha, there's little interest in a straight re-release of the original. Instead, clips from it will feature in an anthology book, compiling its old artwork and themes with those of Ciem 1, 2, and 3 from that era. Otherwise, Gerosha Prime isn't coming back. With a few tweaks, 90 Has No Secant can be re-released, giving Uber-Proto-Gerosha a last stand.

A final anthology book is pending as well for all that has survived from Despair Gerosha. Another one is for all Classic Gerosha works that were never finished. A book re-release of Ciem from 2007 is also pending. Also, a compilation anthology book of all that has survived from Comprehensive Gerosha is under consideration. After that, nothing else Gerosha-related is coming back that pre-dates Cataclysmic Gerosha. It will be Earth-G7 and beyond from there on out.

As for literature: only a handful of publications remain to be released that pre-date 2010. After that, Dozerfleet's focus will be on emptying out the queue from the 2010s of ideas and projects that were never completed / published.

Corando will be attempted. Beyond that, there's no guarantee that much else from before 2010 can hope to get re-released, that hasn't already been given one. Anything else from 2005 or before, is also facing an uncertain future.

The Dozerfleet Megaverse vs. Hollywood Time Travel

In relation to this old video, it only seemed fair to post on here about how the Dozerfleet Megaverse understands time travel, as opposed to most of Hollywood. Without further adieu:

Sodality: Battle for Metheel, for starters, varies between Back to the Future or Avengers Endgame logic, based entirely on how well Schrodinger's Cat is exploited.

Morzhuk vs. Schrodinger

If Hea Pang does nothing, Morzhuk gets the Grand Ultimates' Ruby. Morzhuk wins. Earth-G7.0 and Earth-G7.2.0 are doomed, along with any other planets existing in those branch-offs of the Divergency. By going back in time to destroy the Grand Ultimates' Ruby before Morzhuk can see it, however, she eliminates any possibility that he will ever possess it! This dooms Morzhuk to have to power up through inferior means, meaning he will still be vulnerable to Extirpon.

The Gray Champion Memory Feedback Loop Dilemma

If Hea goes back to Scarlet Letter times, doesn't have an alias, goes to John and Orenda directly, and then goes to Hester, then her simple act of being direct means that John gets new memories.

This creates a Frequency paradox, where a new divergent timeline is created where John always knew, and to John in the main timeline not knowing at first, but then receiving a feedback loop where he gains the other John's memories after the fact. While the main John doesn't change much, the John in the new timeline suddenly remembers that Hea time traveled, leading to him having a different relationship when Hea meets him in 2012 after his time jump from the 17th century. This means that in the branch timeline, he's reluctant to let Hea go back in time at all, leading to a delay, leading to Morzhuk getting the Grand Ultimates' Ruby, and winning - in that other timeline.

To prevent that, Hea has to prevent the paradox. Except, she can't accept the alias to meet with Orenda and avoid John that John himself suggested, as this would lead to a memory feedback that would result in John having a similar memory paradox. So she has to secretly have Vince give her an alias, so that John won't recognize that the alias Hea uses to meet with Orenda while avoiding being seen by him was a name given to her by anyone in particular.

Literally, Hea has to protect 2021 John from both his 17th century and 2012 selves!

However, she only needs to keep her face and her true identity a secret from John's past self. She can freely share her identity with anyone else, who can be trusted to not expose her true identity to past John.

The Chillingworth Dilemma

So once she and Orenda are on their way to visit with Hester, Hea is free to reveal her true identity to them. She also gets careless, and Roger Chillingworth learns of her identity. Yet, Roger never learns of her connection to John Domeck, so he never confronts John. Therefore, he never exposes her to John. She defeats Roger after a quick battle, and then Roger eliminates himself as a threat of temporal paradox. Since their fight happened in an isolated location, and Hea leaves promptly with no witnesses, Roger just remembers it as a bad trip and embarrassing scuffle of losing to a woman. He attempts to make no mention of Hea defeating him, so it's almost like their battle never happened, as far as history is concerned.

By sparing Chillingworth rather than killing him, Hea ensures that Hester will still accidentally kill him by unwittingly using the Beamer's Ruby. By not telling Hester how it works, she prevents Hester from knowing how to not activate it, preventing Hester from preventing the fatal accident that causes Chillingworth's powers to backfire, thus killing him.

If Hea weren't careful in this way, then Hester would take pains to avoid triggering the ruby inside her necklace pendant. This would result in a Divergency split, creating an alternate timeline in which Morzhuk would win. This is because if Hester doesn't kill Chillingworth by accident with the Beamer's Ruby, then she'll never be inspired to create the Secret Sisterhood of the Locket to hide the necklace from prying eyes. Its significance will be lost. But also, it means that the Ramirez family will never possess it, to give it to Hea.

The Divergency will make one version of Hester so panicked as to lose control, thus causing her to activate the ruby and kill Chillingworth anyway. But in the new branch timeline, Hester doesn't lose control. Without this maneuver, Chillingworth's hand forces Miles Wealthington to come out of retirement as Oraphim, and to take matters into his own hands to defeat Chillingworth. Thus, no Sisterhood within the Order. Without the sisterhood, Hea Pang will never possess her copy of the locket in the new timeline's 2014.

Therefore, that version of Hea would be unable to help her version of John. That Team Gray would lose to the Miles Charleston Chillingworth, who would then make all of Miami suffer. That John, that Hea, would all perish in 2014. Without the Ramirez family being part of the Order, with Anna never possessing the locket, the Ramirez family would never adopt Marge after she gets displaced to 1995. A very different Mapacha del Fuego would exist, and she'd be of no use to Team Gray. And with Team Gray extinct, Navyrope would have to go back in time to stop the Grand Ultimates' Ruby. But would need a means other than Hester's Locket to do it, since no one would know about Hester's Locket.

Making matters worse, Extirwraith would have to be summoned to assist much sooner, since Extirpon wouldn't be able to keep up with all the MPF generators by himself. Extirwraith would be needed to take out Brackett and Hibbins, because there'd be no Gray Champion to do it. This would also lead to Tabitha Pang being adopted out to a very different family, possibly ensuring that the Twirlflame Trio in Swappernetters in this new branch timeline never come to exist!

By adopting Vince's alias, and hiding her face, Hea is able to get John to agree to let Orenda help the "mysterious woman of the Orient." They visit Hester, get the past version of the Beamer's Ruby (because it's dangerous for two versions of Hester's Locket to exist in the same place at the same time, so Hea deliberately leaves her copy behind on Phaeleel in the 21st century), and are on their way to destroy the Grand Ultimate's Ruby. Without fear of John's memories causing a paradox.

If Hea (or Anda or Vince) fail(s) to destroy the Grand Ultimates' in the past, Morzhuk will procure it in the present, and win.

If Hea succeeds at destroying the Grand Ultimates', but is killed in the past, then the Swappernetters timeline is slightly altered, because Tabitha will have lost her mother a lot sooner, resulting in a slight alteration to her personality. It will be less extreme then, because Marge and Candi will still be around. Yet, by the Vindication timeline, Candi is of little use to Tabitha. And Marge fares little better.

By succeeding and being rescued by Pilltar, without Pilltar's identity being revealed, and with Pilltar killing most of the Icy Finger low-levels that were sent after Hea, Hester, and Pearl; Hea ensures that no branch timeline can exist in which Morzhuk ever gets his hands on the Grand Ultimates'.

Since it is destroyed before Morzhuk opens its casing, and only the girls and their monitors in the 21st century in Desulon's lab even know that it has been destroyed, Morzhuk doesn't know better. He opens the casing in the 21st century, and finds that the Grand Ultimates' Ruby has been 404'd out of existence. This leads him to desperation as a backup plan for powering himself up - but it's not enough to make him too powerful for Extirpon.

The rest of the Megaverse vs. Hollywood on time travel attitudes

Other than one other time, in a once-planned Mirror's Edge fanfic where Tabitha goes back in time to save Faith Connors from a Feathertop-planted death trap during the Percolation Warriors Saga, The Gerosha Chronicles otherwise takes pains NOT to have anyone travel BACKWARDS in time. Yes, a lab worker associated with Eqquibus is sent back in time when John Domeck is sent forward, a-la Turtles in Time. But the lab worker is then killed immediately upon arrival, and evidence is destroyed. So the 17th century world never learns this worker's identity. Otherwise, only forward time is ever allowed.

Now, the same Divergency logic applies across the entire Dozerfleet Megaverse. So when visiting pocket realities tied to the Dromedeverse, the girls of Camelorum Correctional in Camelorum Adventures are never visiting their own true past. They may be visiting a present of that pocket dimension that resembles a moment of their own past, or that of their parents. This is how Carly and Jen can wind up in BELF's 80s sitcom dimension, and then get a tour of the late 80s, without destroying any of their own history. In relation to their own world, the original BELF's pocket dimension follows a less extreme version of Narnia time logic.

And when a clone of Volkonir gets trapped inside a Dromedeverse pocket dimension that is built on cyberpunk tropes? That clone's actions in that world have no bearing moving forward on anything in the main Eccentriaverse. The only contamination, is to the pocket dimension. Not only on account of a new Volkonir existing, but also on account of the fact that the new Volkonir has difficulty processing the moment of his entry into the world as his true "birth."

His mind and everything comprehension are contaminated by his inheriting the memories of the original Volkonir. Otherwise, this new Volkonir may as well be a completely different individual from the original. And it shows in how he upgrades his armor to fit his new setting, and in how he has to learn how to exploit the XomiaFaeCore for Weaving, to create a new Tapestry for himself - and for any new Cortasician Knights. The original knight powers of his allies can no longer exist based on power evolution dynamics such as his. So now, he has to re-create the Crystal Swan, Red Serpent, Argon Vole, and Silver Ferret powers from scratch. And then upgrade them per their new setting.

Since this Cyberpunk Volkonir never meets Masato, however, he never learns about the Spectral Hare Samurai knockoff powers. Therefore, in spite eventually learning how to re-create the Knights of Cortascius for a cyberpunk setting, Cyberpunk Volkonir never learns how to create his new world's own version of the Spectral Hare Samurai. His world simply doesn't have one.

In conclusion

Moral of the story: the damaging consequences of time travel aren't just in logical causality of the physical; but also in how one's perception of reality can be radically altered, for better or worse. Only God can cheat Schrodinger's Cat.

New navigation underway

Dozerfleet Comics (and eventually, Literature too) are getting some fixes to their navigation, to keep up with industry standards for online book catalogs. The Gerosha and Eccentriaverse comic sections have nearly been overhauled completely, with Dromedeverse and miscellaneous work navigation pending.

Once Dozerfleet Comics has been given its much-deserved overhaul, plans are underway to similarly revamp navigation for Dozerfleet Literature.

For the time being, no significant changes are planned for the Records, Labs, and Studios divisions.
