Could the upcoming comics be AI?

A Eulogy to Dozerfleet Main

As the until-recent Dozerfleet Main was reaching its end-of-life as a tower, a difficult decision was reached: it was to retire the old dinosaur of a unit. The current Dozerfleet Portable, a Dell Latitude 5490 purchased off of Amazon, is also operating as Dozerfleet Main at the moment. The tower that was until recently Dozerfleet Main was a modified Dell Inspiron 3650 from 2017, with the main hard drive changed over to a 1TB solid state drive, and the original hard drive turned into a backup data drive known as "Ivan's Vault."

The external backup hard drive formerly known as "Dozimax" has inherited the title of "Ivan's Vault." Its sister, "Dozerfleet Backup," has now been re-christened as "Ivan's Vault 2."

The former Dozerfleet Main tower had been modified further since its original purchase, to contain an extra 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, thus putting it at 16 GB total. This made it an absolute powerhouse of a machine. However, it was still unable to run a lot of higher-end software, due to its graphics card limitations. Its elaborate Dell design made it nearly impossible to update the graphics for this device, dooming its future of ever being the advanced gaming machine desired.

Enter Bezzyca

The former Dozerfleet Main has since been given a new life as Bezzyca, a children's art and office learning station running on Kubuntu.

It now has all the basics for three children it's being donated to in order to learn their way around open source software, Linux, Gimp, Krita, and LibreOffice. To learn the ins and outs of the software world in a somewhat-safe environment with minimal parental control oversight, but also allowing them to brainstorm ideas any time of the year - away from the prying eyes of school admins, who might otherwise want to scrutinize their every move.

It also encourages them to get their own USB drives and learn their way around private ownership - something difficult to instill as a value in children when they are dependent on clouds and ChromeBooks.

Adapting to software obsolescence

However, the next stage forward in Dozerfleet progress has come at other costs besides simply donating old hardware. In the time it has taken to come this far, key bits of software that Dozerfleet once relied on have now started to become obsolete. Most notably: Microsoft Access and Microsoft Publisher.

Old Microsoft Access content will be the tricky part, as all that table data must now be converted to LibreOffice Calc. This will require a joint effort between Dozerfleet Portable and Dozerfleet Mega Portable (the Surface Go 2 Tablet). The Microsoft account associated with both doesn't recall Office 2019 being installed on Mega Portable. Therefore, there's no option to go back and reinstall Office 2019 for Portable. Likewise, there's no recollection in the online account of the purchase of Office 2016, which was what was running on Old Main.

Worse, Office 2021 was renamed to Offline Microsoft 365 2021, to create even more confusion for those who just want to run a forever license. Turns out, Microsoft wants 2021 to be the last of these offline-runable office apps. Beyond that, they offer only their online subscription model - a perfect reason to want to switch to LibreOffice for most tasks!

But here's the real kicker: Microsoft 365 2021 does not include Access or Publisher!!!

These relics being gone mean that only Office 2019, running on Mega Portable, can still open these files. And that means that several Dozerfleet works now need to be reformatted.

As mentioned above, a slow-moving conversion can happen to transform the Access documents for use in LibreOffice Calc. However, Publisher documents will need to be re-assessed for long-term retention. Those not deemed worth it, will be discarded. Then, there are those which do have long-term retention value. Alas, they now have to be converted.

From Microsoft to Affinity

The following key documents will need reformatting to Affinity Publisher:

Public

  • Every Ape and His Brother lyrics
  • The Horrorday Gang: What's Your Straggele Codename?
  • Volkonir 2008
  • The Official Handbook to The Sims 4: Oughties Big Rapid Living Stuff
  • The Official Handbook to The Sims 4: Into the Future Conversions Stuff
  • Ciem: Inferno: The Inmates of Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility
  • Ciem: Inferno: The Staff of Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility
  • Blood Over Water: Dirty Laundry

Private

  • A Very Anarteq Tour of the Soo Itinerary
  • Arionna Davis' Ciem Info Packet Series (when she initially showed interest in 2019 in portraying Candi Flippo on the wiki, though that arrangement never materialized.)
  • Blood Over Water Relational Chart
  • Blood Over Water Charts
  • Business Card
  • Folder Tabs
  • C.O.W.
  • Old credits for Ciem 2 (2009)
  • Old Stationery Voyagers data
  • Resume files

Out of that list, the Ciem: Inferno tie-in books won't change much. Meagan Amez's timeline will be re-examined per her expanded role. Otherwise, those books should be the same. Purge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil will likely also be re-formatted using Affinity Publisher. It was originally made in Microsoft Word 2016, using a mix of text captions and screenshots edited from a playthrough of GTA V on the PS4.

More changes to Blood Over Water lore

The biggest changes will be to Blood Over Water: Dirty Laundry and Volkonir 2008. With the photos provided, it's plausible that Volkonir 2008 could now be mostly made as an AI-enhanced photocomic. Only the bare minimum content from The Sims 4, such as the Golden Lion Knight armor, Selshon, and the Gwirdons would necessarily have to be machinomic-generated. Everything else could either come from photos or from Krea AI.

In spite of all the readiness for Blood Over Water to be done up in The Sims 4, it could become an AI comic instead of a Sims machinomic. The need to completely re-make Dirty Laundry from the ground up justifies this change, as all the Sims photos can now be swapped out with AI to better match its mock-tabloid format. New photos from the 2024 Sorbet / Blood Over Water / Volkonir Big Rapids Farewell Tour also allow for coverage of regions that were impossible to cover when the first edition of Dirty Laundry was released.

AI: The Future of Dozerfleet Comics?

If Dirty Laundry is re-released as AI, and Blood Over Water's remake is also made AI, then Sorbet will likewise take a hybrid Sims / AI approach. Sims only for elements and scenes that can't be made with AI, and the use of AI and photos for everything else.

This will produce the following results:

Comics by pending format
Title Visual style Media format
Anarteq: Top of the World Cartoon AI comic
Anarteq: Top of the World Story Pack Cartoon + Game Abridged AI comic + Sims 3 mods + Sims 4 mods + InZoi recipes + a House Flipper 2 tour

Percolation Encyclopedia's uncertain future

Another work, this one with an uncertain future, is Percolation: The Complete Encyclopedia of Crossover Gerosha and Dozerfleet Crossovers. It was drafted at a time when Miraheze underwent a change of leadership, and was in danger of being shut down. That threat has passed. The artwork contained inside the encyclopedia has since become obsolete. To make matters worse, the work itself was all made in Microsoft Publisher, and then never finished. So it would need a massive overhaul to be added to Affinity Publisher, and be scaled down of unnecessary features.

Progress has started coming. But alas, some things needed to be sacrificed in the process.

Entering the world of 3D AI

Dozerfleet Studios now has a double-camera setup for shooting backgrounds and video in 3D. The setup doesn't quite have all its bugs worked out yet, but enough of a double image was able to be produced to result in anaglyph experiments demonstrating the strengths and drawbacks of using AI to make post-processing conversions to 3D.

For posters that mostly consist of AI-generated assets in the first place, it's very difficult to combine native and post-processed assets together to make a believable composite. Depth map manipulation to improve Photoshop layer pixel displacement on a flattened copy of a file - with all assets added before flattening of layers - is the most practical way to do it.

This is most evident in the 3D version of the main book cover / official poster for The Tale of Plum Bixie:

However, while post-processing can speed up the editing process, and is usually pretty reasonable, it has nothing on the power of a wisely-chosen setup of native 3D shooting - something not possible with most AI art generators that are equipped to only do so-so with generating 2D assets.

Some 3D glasses are needed to truly see the difference, but here's a sample image of a Christmas village that was post-processed using the app Owl 3D:

By contrast, this is that same village when two different cameras' feeds were overlapped to produce native 3D:

The depth detail is simply amazing; and the depth maps involved with Owl 3D, as good as they are, cannot hope to match the sheer power of a proper parallax reconciliation.

Granted, achieving this latter image took a little more work. The right eye camera was a Canon PowerShot ELPH 135. The left eye camera was a Vivitar Popsnap VEC S124. Stabilizing either camera without a tripod splitter was an exercise in splitting hairs. To make matters worse, macro photography like this pushed the limits of what both cameras could do. When it came to color recognition, the Canon definitely had better chrominance range than the Vivitar.

As a consequence, the resulting composite image is a fraction of what was originally possible. Regardless, the point was made.

This was also demonstrated when The Amazing Spider-Man first hit theaters in RealD 3D, and was shot natively. The result was a far-better-looking world than the MCU, which released The Avengers with post-processed 3D. Native 3D clips of TASM are hard to find now, with most YouTube clips featuring badly-washed-out post-processed 3D that's difficult to watch. Clips of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suffered for this format, however, as it made more obvious than ever when Andrew was web-swinging against a greenscreen - a similar problem to that which plagued The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

Viewers of

The Avengers didn't have that issue, since the 3D made available is the original post-processed result, just switched from RealD 3D to anaglyph per the limitations of most home monitors.

What does this mean for Dozerfleet 3D?

  • Whenever possible, backgrounds and props that can be shot in native 3D can and should be done so. With a few tweaks, the Vivitar's current limitations may be overcome gradually. A tripod splitter will further aid the two cameras in communicating with each other to achieve an ideal parallax angle.
  • If The Mutt Mackley Show ever made a comeback, an upgrade to the SD card setup for the Vivitar would enable Mackley videos to be shot in 3D. A different puppeteer might be needed, since the director / camerman would have to manage two cameras as the same time. This would allow future Mutt Mackley entries to be in native 3D.
  • If location doubling is possible, backgrounds for story covers / posters could have 3D equivalents. Some clever blending of post-processed AI-generated foreground assets and native-shot assets would make better-looking 3D possible.
  • Where such location doubling isn't possible, post-processing would be necessary to take full advantage of environments that are AI-generated from wholecloth.
  • For Blood Over Water 3D for the remake, action shots that are complicated enough would be post-processed. Simpler shots could be done in The Sims 4 with carefully-handled trucking of the in-game camera to the right. The front and back covers, however, would have to be post-processed.
  • So far, with regard to the machinomics, only Blood Over Water TS4 is being planned for a release some time in 2025 or 2026 with a 3D release. Readers will be encouraged to have or else order pairs of 3D glasses when reading Blood Over Water TS4 3D. All the other remaining machinomics are being planned for 2D only.
  • From there, anaglyph work will be in limited supply, on an as-neede basis. Some anaglyphs are included in the official handbook for The Sims 4: Magic of Movies and Memes Stuff, though these are post-processed.
  • Projects that are deemed passionate enough, or where there is enough demand, will then use native 3D as much as possible, and post-processed 3D whenever native 3D capture isn't possible. Most projects, for the sake of time, however, will still be 2D-only releases.

Uncovering lost wiki treasures Pt 13 - Who is Corvin the Caller?

Corvin the Caller was the working name given to a mysterious figure, who knew more than he was letting on, who often called Jessie Morcin and Mindy Liptash from burner phones in the Kozerlen TV series pitch from 2009.

Exactly who he really was and what he really wanted were a mystery to all but himself. At one point in the story, there were plans that he'd be exposed by Jessie after a fight. She'd actually get to compel him to switch sides in her war, supporting her.

Inspired by the Mouth of Sauron character in Return of the King, he would have been a figure dropping taunts and clues randomly, such that even the audience wouldn't know who he was or what is agenda was. This would be achieved by having a character who was never shown above the lower half of his nose. He was, in practice, to be something somewhere between Mouth of Sauron and Watchmen's Rorschach.

When the pitch for Kozerlen was abandoned in favor of Blood Over Water, Corvin was replaced with the character of George Lawence. While George is much more clearly and unambiguously evil and hammy, his voice effects are toned down from Corvin's considerably. Also, much of Corvin's intelligence was toned down when he was adapted as George. Some of that intellect was restored for the comic adaptation, though the miniseries reduced George to a dumb thug.

Progress update on Corando and Blood Over Water

After completion of a story pack related to the 2022 remake of Corando's "Don't Lose Hope," being remade as a book, almost all wiki side work is now complete. Work can now resume on completing the actual book.

Once this comic is finished, and a trailer for it is possibly made for YouTube, the remake of "Corando" will be considered in-the-can. Archiving will commence, and this will be one more classic project re-made and off the project queue. Intentions are to follow it up by immediately beginning production on Blood Over Water, utilizing the materials available via Dirty Laundry to reconstruct it.

There could be some delays, due to Hurrican Ian. However, Dozerfleet staff intend to move at the fastest possible speed to get the remake of Blood Over Water completed, to make room for the completion afterward of Sorbet and Volkonir 2008. These works, once finished, will conclude the Big Rapids Saga.

Titles pushed to next year

In case of the worst

Long-term contigency plannning at Dozerfleet has led to a decision that once the machinomics are complete, it may be a good idea to start utilizing Linux Mint more, and relying less on variations of Windows.

Dozerfleet was founded in Michigan; but has since relocated to Florida. However, Florida is logistically vulnerable. In the event of a doomsday scenario, the state could become uninhabitable, such as if a nuclear attack hit the state.

In case of the worst, North Carolina seems like the most feasible place to escape to.

  • It has land high enough from sea level to provide everything necessary for someone seeking shelter from rogue governments and Chinese nukes hitting from the Caribbean.
  • The climate is reasonable.
  • Off-the-grid living is not beyond the realm of possibility.

However, that will come with the need for some changes when it comes to equipment employed:

  • Back-up power items would be a must.
    • Casual access to AC wall electricity would be a luxury, not something to take for granted.
  • The TV set currently employed as "DozerfleetTV" would double as a PC monitor.
    • The current main PC monitor would be either sold or abandoned in the event of an on-foot migration. There'd be no practical way to carry it.
    • Failing the ability to safely procure storage for the TV, a smaller screen unit would have to be acquired.
    • This much smaller screen would be the new monitor.
  • Once phased out as a necessity, the current Dell Inspiron 3650 operating as Dozerfleet Main would be sold / recycled / abandoned.
  • A laptop to be the new Dozerfleet Portable, preferably a gamer-grade unit Mac that can dual-boot with Linux Mint, would be preferred.
    • The Macbook would be EMP-shielded, if possible.
    • MacOS would only be used to run Origin and Origin games, or to run Affinity Publisher, Affinity Designer, or any other software that cannot be replaced with FOSS.
    • Mint and FOSS would be used to handle every single other scenario.
  • At some point, the Surface Go 2 operating as Dozerfleet Mega Portable would be phased out.
  • The Kindle operating as Dozerfleet Ultra Portable will remain until it physically dies. It is unknown if a replacement Kindle will be available when that day comes. The whole designation may end up being retired.
  • The Dozerfleet Database remaining open will be the top online priority of Dozerfleet operations; updating the blogs will be secondary.
    • Otherwise, online activity would be minimal, outside of use of Google Maps.
    • Dozerfleet Mobile, currently operating from a Google Pixel 4A 5G, would continue until that unit goes defunct. If not immediately replaceable, Motorola walkie-talkies would be a prime means of communication with the few connections that would remain.
    • Facebook, Instagram, and DeviantArt may see weeks or even months go by without updates.

Where this has led for 2022

Many projects that were initially pursued highly ambitiously in 2022 found themselves later pushed back, due to scheduling conflicts with prepping. The need to explore possibilities and contingencies, and gather the necessary gear to be able to stage a migration in the future if it becomes necessary, has led to experimentation with and learning of new systems. Learning the basics of modern macOS setups, as well as learning Linux Mint basics, has also meant learning how to use Virtual Box, and the limitations of a virtual machine environment.

This has also led to Dozerfleet Mega Portable abandoning Windows 11 in favor of Mint. The Dozerfleet founder's mother even got on the bandwagon. Her old laptop, having only 4GB of RAM installed, was too old to run Windows 10 efficiently. It found new life with a new battery, plus an installation of Mint.

All of this, combined with hernia surgery in April, caused major setbacks to Dozerfleet projects. Some will still get made in 2022. Others have been rescheduled for 2023 projected release dates.

Projects still slated for a 2022 release date

  • Blood Over Water Redux

How Blood Over Water Classic missed its deadline for IMDB

Clips for the miniseries can now be viewed here. The photocomic can be downloaded here.

The question becomes: if Oughties Big Rapids Living Stuff can qualify for an IMDB page, then why not Blood Over Water? Well, it's technical; but it mostly comes down to nit picks regarding IMDB's specific rules.

  1. Most new IMDB entries prefer that the film still exist, in its original format, verifiably, with verifiable information ready for its time of original release.
  2. If the film (or miniseries) has been banned from public view for any particular reason, then IMDB wants evidence that it was available once upon a time.
  3. Moreover, an additional clause in IMDB's rules states that the deceased work had to have been originally intended for release to the box office, a major commercial TV station or cable network, a major streaming platform (like YouTube or Vimeo), or some other venue that is widely publicly available.
  4. If that isn't the case, then the work must still exist on a public venue in a form recognizable to its original medium / format at the time the entry to IMDB is made.
  5. If the entry is to be made posthumously, then the work must have been originally intended for public broadcast, verifiably.

The specificity of these clauses in site rules, unfortunately, disqualify Blood Over Water from receiving an entry. And for two big reasons:

  1. The work was removed from YouTube before an IMDB entry could be made, partially due to Chris' irrationality and TDS on Facebook, and partially due to a copyright dispute over the soundtrack. Therefore, it was defunct as a video online before an entry to IMDB could be submitted.
  2. YouTube was not its original intended destination.

Nor was it ever intended in its original form for a box office release, nor to Fox, NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, nor any of their affiliates. Rather, the miniseries' original target audience was Bulldog Television, the educational access cable channel connected to FerrisState.tv that is specific to Ferris students on campus.

IMDB rules state that PEG channel programming "doesn't count" for its platform. So without a version of the videos still on YouTube, IMDB's official stance is that it "doesn't exist, never happened."

Here at Dozerfleet, we know better. But just because it no longer qualifies for an IMDB page, doesn't mean that information on the old miniseries is lost forever. Because of the photocomic, it now qualifies for a listing on ICDB! And even if somehow failing that, it still has entries on All the Tropes, and of course, the Dozerfleet Database on Miraheze.

Ferris articles getting expanded

In order to better address the history of each major notable location at Ferris State, and to make more room for the remake of Blood Over Water, The Notable on-campus locations and Notable in-town locations articles related to Big Rapids are being heavily expanded upon.

Instead of just a main Big Rapids article and two sub-pages, each major location previously mentioned in segmentations is now getting its own page. This will have an impact on links in every article related to these new article pages. However, the following projects and characters will feel the effects sooner than anyone else:

  • Blood Over Water (2009 miniseries)
  • Blood Over Water (webcomic)
  • Sorbet
  • Kozerlen
  • Mackley's Wardrobe
  • Ferris State Live
  • Ferris in Focus (and all episodes)
  • Innovative Grafix ad 2010
  • Mancino's ad 2010
  • Fox 32 ad
  • Volkonir 2008
  • Volkonir (2008 film)

Progress update for September

As one can expect to be the case, the increasingly toxicity of woketarded Fandom has caused numerous delays at Dozerfleet. The webcomic release of Volkonir 2008 has been moved to 2022. Wiki rebuilding on Miraheze has caught up on the Comics / Literature division side only insofar as to beginning to revise / edit articles pertaining to Gerosha Prime. Restoring the entire Megaverse to the wiki will take time yet.

However, some projects are being moved ahead of schedule. Purge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil will get its ad released before the end of September. This will get the Studios division caught up, and clean the production slate for Blood Over Water.

Getting the old articles back online and revising their contents will have to be done in stages, to make time for Blood Over Water production. This, along with other real-life delays in matters, has moved Ciem: Inferno and other projects that follow Blood Over Water into 2022 at the earliest. However, having a new wiki host means better protection for wiki contents - which may lead to better Plottr organization and vice-versa.

Currently, the slate appears to be that once Blood Over Water is complete, the next thing to get made will be Volkonir 2008. This will then leave behind only Sorbet, Kahoopiliana, Sniperbadger, and Path of the Ming-Cho to be made in 2022, and the Comics division will be caught up.

After this, it will be the Literature division's turn. Ciem: Inferno and Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo will be up next for development in 2022. After they're written, it'll be time to pursue a publisher for them. In the mean time, the rest of the Legacy and Orient volumes will be piecemealed together until finished. It's believed that this will run into 2024 before being completed.

With the Orient and Legacy volumes finished, the Origins and Legends volumes can start being written. Volkonir: Season 1 may follow suit in 2025. In 2026, the two pre-Sodality volumes will continue to be developed, and possibly sent to publishers, while time is made on the side for Volkonir: Season 2 and Camelorum Adventures. The goal is to have the slate cleared by 2030 for Sodality and Swappernetters, and possibly Percolation Warriors. With those in the can, smaller Dromedeverse and Eccentriaverse properties, like Grillitan Diner and The Bison, can be completed. Ideally, everything should be completed in the Literature division by 2046, and in the hands of publishers.

The Labs division intends to publish a few more Sims 4 story packs, before abandoning DzMD Sims 4. These include:

  1. A Ciem-themed series of packs for Inferno, Ash Cloud, and Caldera
  2. An Anarteq-themed pack
  3. Some additional Sodality-themed packs
  4. A Gray Champion pack
  5. An Extirpon-themed pack
  6. A Cherinob-themed pack
  7. A Feud of Three Worlds Pack
  8. A Battle for Gerosha pack
  9. An Experiments and Offspring pack
  10. A Camelorum Adventures official story pack
  11. An official Volkonir story pack.

In addition to the comics being made in 2022, that will take up a lot of 2022 free time for development, these remaining 16 packs will be emphasized for completion. At any rate, the goal is to complete these packs before The Sims 5 comes out. It is unknown which games DzMD will support in the future. The unfinished Sims 3 pack content for DzMD release has a very uncertain future, as demand is questionable, given the game's age.

Purge-Flare now available for the Philippines

Puge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil is now available in Bisaloglish, a hybrid language of English, Cebuano, and Tagalog, aimed at Cagayan de Oro residents.

Translations for this short story are also being pursued in Portuguese, Korean, and Russian. Blood Over Water, once finished, will likely also get a Spanish translation. Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Bisaloglish, Portuguese, Polish, etc. are not likely translations for that webcomic. Volkonir 2008 may get a Japanese translation, but there will likely not be any translations made for Volkonir Journals: Attempt #43. 3-13 has been delayed for release until some time in 2021. Future re-releases for Gored By Them Things and other related works are being debated.

Once prepared, Ciem / Anarteq: Kahoopiliana may receive a Spanish translation. However, no other translations will be made in-house. Ciem: Inferno and Anarteq: Guardian of the Soo won't be translated in-house either. But depending on publisher deals, other publishers may be interested in pursuing translation work on their own ends.

The Purge-Flare's projected viable reader markets by country

Purge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil has only so many markets worldwide that it can hit. If it takes off, and demand can be generated for Blood Over Water and Ciem: Inferno this way, then it improves the odds of success for Ciem: Inferno to get a professional publisher release once written and ready.

If Ciem: Inferno enjoys massive domestic success, and there is international demand, then the publisher would most likely be willing to pay for international translations.

However, this is the current projection of markets worth targeting, versus ignoring.

Markets already covered by Purge-Flare native English or by already-existing foreign translations

  • USA
  • China
  • Myanmar (the Chinese portion)
  • Spain
  • Malawi (the English portion of it)
  • Mexico
  • Japan
  • India (English-speaking portions)
  • Poland
  • Gambia (the English-speaking portions)
  • Most nations of South America (sans Brazil)
  • Mann
  • Barbados
  • Ireland
  • Marshall Islands
  • New Zealand
  • UK
  • Jamaica (somewhat, though native dialects not considered)
  • Israel (English-speaking portions)
  • Australia
  • Bermuda
  • Nauru
  • Virgin Islands
  • St. Vincent and the Grenadines
  • Dominica
  • Palau
  • Anguilla
  • Guam
  • Grenada
  • Guyana
  • Canada
  • Philippines (Cagayan de Oro, primarily)
  • Portugal
  • Brazil
  • France
  • Ivory Coast
  • Quebec
  • DR Congo
  • Madagascar
  • Niger
  • Burkina Faso
  • Mali
  • Senegal
  • Chad
  • Belgium (French)
  • Haiti
  • Switzerland
  • Seychelles
  • any other French-speaking African country

Essentially, any nation that has a large portion of its population that already speak or know how to read English. Or any region where a translation already exists for that region's native language.

Markets for readership being pursued

  • South Korea
  • Russia

Markets that may be viable in the future

  • Germany (although most Germans know English)
  • France

Markets not deemed viable, or else no interest in making a translation for

  • Greece (the portions that only speak Greek)
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Morocco
  • Any nation that speaks Swahili (including Uganda. Dat is not de wae!)
  • Any nation speaking Swazi
  • India (Hindi-speaking portions)
  • Israel (the minority that speak only Hebrew)
  • Bangladesh
  • Turkey
  • Rwanda

Bear in mind, this does not mean that someone from these lands is not allowed to enjoy it in their native language. It only means that Dozerfleet Labs won't take the painful effort to perform the translation directly and personally. However, anyone scholarly enough from these lands who desires an unofficial translation of Purge-Flare, is free to make one, and pass it on to their friends.

Translations for Purge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil

More transitions are happening, and Dozerfleet's main office may be moving soon. There were efforts in 2019 to relocate; but these fell through.

The chaotic election cycle of 2020, and worse Michigan politics, have made business in Michigan dangerous - and the cultural climate very unstable!

Moving to another state seems to be the only way around this. In the mean time, Purge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil may only get one more translation this year: to Japanese. It has already been successfully translated into Chinese, Spanish, and Polish. After the Japanese version is finished, Dozerfleet Main may be going offline for some time. Dozerfleet Portable will be in operation if this happens.

There are three other languages being considered for translating the story into: Korean, Russian, and Cebuano. Any other language translations will need to be by request.

While Dozerfleet Main is down, future machinomics will also be shelved. Blood Over Water, for example, won't be able to go into production until some office location issues are resolved. Sniperbadger: Fall of the Critter Resistance and Ciem / Anarteq: Kahoopiliana will similarly need to wait. Ciem: Inferno can technically be written from the laptop; but will be a much slower process.

Dozerfleet is not going away. But it may be found in another state soon. Stay tuned.

3-13 back in the system

In a desperate saving throw earlier this year, the last surviving copy of any version of the original script for 2008's 3-13 was finally recovered. It has recently been scanned back into existence within digital media, meaning that work on the film's editing can soon resume. Once this and Kings in the Corner are both on YouTube, the Dozerfleet Studios division can finally have its blog section fleshed out properly - with actual content to display!

Getting the Dozerfleet Studios tab fully online has moved higher up on the priorities list for this year, along with finishing the Chrome Kite and other Swappernetters Sims 4 packs for DzMD, as noted on the Labs blog. With Dozerfleet Studios back online, work can resume on the timelines for The Gerosha Chronicles, leading to resumption of Purge-Flare: Stickin' It to Pencil. From there, Blood Over Water can be written, and pave the way for the long-anticipated Ciem: Inferno.

The Journey to Batuu Sims 4 game pack released this year has indicated that a Tiemess the Jithy Knord short is possible in the near future for 2021. It would be a total continuity reboot from 2005's Star Flops: Curse of the Medium Side, but would likewise also be a short story.
