Synopsis

Prince Volkonir was transformed into an enchanted stuffed toy in 1608, after being struck by the evil wizard-king Gwirmalesh's wand, Swivertik. In 2008, his ancient Gwirdon enemies have returned. Their new target? Earth! Volkonir has finally learned what he must do to break the spell. The problem? Finding volunteers who will help him! It took him 44 attempts to become a prince again.

This short story is about his unsuccessful 43rd attempt to get help from the human world, before the problems of Cortascius became Earth's problems - without a defender!

About

This story is based on a video shot in the spring semester of 2008 at Ferris State University, of which the audio quality of that original film has barely survived to the present day.

Attempt #43 is formatted to combine machinomic, photocomic, and manga, with captions in both English and Japanese. It is a loose sequel to The Blue Face Film Strips from 2003, and shows the aftermath of Katie Averes' fateful encounter with the dastardly Marzwhatti.
